Anyway, I think it's time to educate the elderlies with children not to let their children take over the flat so early. They should just leave a legal will and then distributed by the nominated member to distribute their wealth based on the legal will after they are dead.

I had a tutor when I was young
She is a really nice lady
Same age as my grandma
But used to be a math teacher in a school
Her husband died during WWII and she raised her children singlehandedly and they are all successful
1's a doctor, other's a lawyer

They refused to allow her to stay with them and she lived alone in a little house with her friend

When her friend died, her children still refused to let her live with them and put her in an old folks home

No idea which old folks home she is in too
I used to visit her every CNY till she was put in a home

The story of that *#$&*# GP who tossed his own mother out still makes my blood boil whenever I think about it.

His wife ain't any better - looking down on her mother-in-law just because she works as a cleaner. If anything, that was one of the reasons why that ass of a GP tossed his own mother out - because of embarassment.

That's why I say, those who think that having children means you will be taken care of in your old age, might be in for a rude suprise if they do not have a plan b.

My plan b is already in place, so even if the unthinkable happens and I have kids, I will not need a cent from them. (and no way in hell i'm selling or giving my house to them until I'm 6 feet under!) Laughing
